Lake Perry Winter

This winter in NE Kansas brought some strange weather that lasted nearly a week. Heavy fog hung in the air with the sky remaining bluish gray. Temps hoovered around the freezing mark so much of the morning hoar frost and just plain freezing fog lay heavy on the land. I decided to spend some time around Lake Perry a half hours drive from home hoping the trees, snow and frozen lake would provide unique scenes to enjoy. There were times when the fog was so heavy this scene was totally whited out. Visibility would come and go from 10 yards to 1/4-1/2 a mile. I stopped at this area liking the play of the snow on the rocky dam and the view of the frozen trees in the distance.

Love this shot Brad! I like how the rocks lead your eyes into the frame and then the view disappears in the fog. Great work!

Thanks Scott on both accounts. The weather for that week made for some difficult shooting but when it was possible it sure was fun.
